Dear friend,
Having limited opportunities does not mean having limited rights. But in reality, the rights of disabled people are limited by the indifference of society and inactivity of the State. It’s already a year that we are protecting the rights of people with disabilities, and communicating with them day by day we are becoming more and more sure that inaccessibility of the environment makes the lives of thousands of people living around us a real tragedy. A disabled person needs no pity, no support, the only thing he needs is the special conditions to live and work independently. We support them to realize their right of living a full life.

We are worried about
Physical disabilities, transportation difficulties and unavailability of information create serious obstacles to be fully involved in public life. And since no any sufficient steps are being undertaken to remove those obstacles. 173,000 disabled people are officially registered in Armenia today, 7900 of them are up to 18 years old.
Disabled people are convicted to unemployment, as there are no jobs adapted for the disabled. Only 9% of disabled people of working age are provided with jobs.
Buildings, streets and transport are not customized for disabled people.
The opportunities to get education and to participate in the cultural life of society are strictly limited for the disabled.
